My mom is a champion of women worldwide.

I am honoring Jane Raybould not only because she is my mom but because she is a champion of women all over the world. As we all know moms are some of the busiest people and my mom is no exception; yet she takes time away from her family and every day obligations to visit members of congress and speak up on poverty, hunger and injustice that women worldwide face.

This story was submitted as part of Oxam America's International Women's Day initiative to honor women working to right the wrongs of poverty and hunger. Honorees are selected independently by Oxfam supporters. Selection does not imply endorsement or other support from Oxfam America.
